Resurrection Sunday 2025
 | The Gospel in a World of Fake News (Matthew 27:62-28:15)

Matthew 27:62-28:15

“If Jesus rose from the dead, then you have to accept all he said; if he didn’t rise from the dead, then why worry about any of what he said?  The issue on which everything hangs is not whether or not you like [Jesus’] teaching but whether or not he rose from the dead.” — Tim Keller

The phenomenon of ‘fake news’ exists because sometimes, people in power deem the truth to be inconvenient or even detrimental to their preferred narrative.

John 3:19-20

While some would prefer the message of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection to be labeled ‘fake news’, there is a litany of reasons to believe it is true:

– The Empty TOMB

– Many Eyewitness TESTIMONIES

– The Disciples TRANSFORMATION

If Jesus really was raised from the dead, it is actually the best news you’ll ever hear!

John 11:25-26 // Romans 10:9-10
