Good Resolves: Living on Mission (2 Corinthians 5:11a, 14-21)
(2 Thessalonians 2:11-12)
2 Corinthians 5:11a, 14-21
Disciples of Jesus are to be ‘ambassadors’ of the Kingdom of God with a primary ministry of reconciling others into citizenship, through the persuasive appeal of God’s mercy in the gospel.
“We are not to be a terminus point for the gospel, but rather a way station in its progress to the ends of the earth. God intends that everyone who has embraced the gospel become a part of the great enterprise of spreading the gospel.”
— Jerry Bridges
Ambassadors for King Jesus are:
- Different, in a good way. (1 Peter 2:9-12)
- Driven, by the goodness of God. (Colossians 1:28-29)
- Deliberate, to share the good news. (Romans 10:11-15)
